Questions

Question: How to pair a sensor/ remote using control panel? 

Answer: Put system into learn mode to begin with. To do this press KEY + 1234 (User Code) + ENTER. To add a detector press 11 + KEY (to add to Zone 1) or 12 + KEY (to add to Zone 2) etc... up to 16 (only 6 Zones possible). The number of detectors already in that Zone will light up on the panel (maximum of 3 per zone). Next, push the tamper button on the sensor twice leaving a half second gap between presses on the sensor you wish to add. The panel will beep three times and the zone light will change to static instead of flashing. Press enter to save the setting and then press ESC to exit learning mode.

 

Question: How to pair a sensor to siren using remote control? 

Answer: Place the siren into learn mode using a previously paired remote control. Press and hold the ARM button for 5 seconds, when the siren enters learn mode it emits a single short beep and the both the indicator LEDs and learn LED will flash together slowly.

Next, press the tamper switch on the PIR /Magnetic Sensor once. Confirm the new device ID code by activating the tamper switch again on the PIR /Magnetic Sensor within 15 seconds. The siren will sound three short low volume beeps and the indicator/learn LEDs will stop flashing and remain ON for 3 seconds then will go out. The new sensor is now paired to the siren and its ID code recorded into the siren's memory. The siren will now return to service mode.

 

Question: How to enter learning/ service mode? 

Answer: Hold down the unlock button on the remote control (you will hear two single short beeps), after 5 seconds the siren will sound two short beeps followed 1 second later by a single long beep. You are now in service mode.

To return back to operating mode, hold down the unlock button on the remote control and after 5 seconds the siren will sound a single long beep followed 1 second later by two short beeps. You are now in operating mode.

 

Question: How to pair a wireless siren?

Answer: Power up the siren and press tamper. Press and hold the learn button for 5 seconds until you hear a single short beep. On the control panel press UNLOCK + 1234 (user code) + ENTER. Scroll to link panel to wirefree siren and press enter. The panel will display "SENDING ID CODES" and you will hear a single short beep and then a single long beep. Scroll through the menu to siren service off and press enter. You will hear a single long beep and two short beeps. Siren is linked and ready to use.

 

Question: How to pair a keyfob/ remote to an SL siren?

Answer: Press the learn button on the siren to enter programming mode. On the keyfob press disarm, then press part arm. This will be followed with 2 beeps and then 3 beeps for each button press. Press disarm on the remote. You should now be able to operate your siren via the remote.

 

Question: How to part arm?

Answer: By default, an SL system with a control panel will have Zones 1-4 set as part arm and 5-6 as normal. To edit, press KEY + 1234 (user code) + ENTER. Then press 5 + KEY. Zones which are active on part arm will light up, to change please press the corresponding zone number you wish to switch on/off. Press enter to save settings once selections are complete.

 

Question: What batteries are required for SL systems with control panels?

Answer: This system uses 3x 6V Lead Acid Batteries. 2 for the Panel and 1 for the Siren.

Question: How to do a factory reset? 

Answer: Remove the keypads battery, press and hold any key for more than 1 second. Set the jumper link to cover pins 1 and 2. Refit the battery and test it by entering the administrator access code 1234. If testing is ok, reset the jumper link to cover pins 2 and 3.

 

Question: How to enter learning/ service mode with remote control? 

Answer: Press and hold the disarm button on the remote control for 5 seconds. The siren will beep twice, followed by a longer single beep. To put the siren back into operation mode, press and hold the disarm button on the remote control for 5 seconds. You will then hear 1 long beep and then 2 short beeps.

Question: How to do a factory reset? 

Answer: Remove the keypads battery, press and hold any key for more than 1 second. Set the jumper link to cover pins 1 and 2. Refit the battery and test it by entering the administrator access code 1234. If testing is ok, reset the jumper link to cover pins 2 and 3.

Question: How to pair a remote control using the keypad? 

Answer: Put system into learn mode by pressing KEY + 1234 (user code) + ENTER (all LEDs will now flash). Then press 10 + KEY (the tamper LED will flash). Now press disarm and then part arm on the new remote. Now press enter on the keypad to save the setting. Finally press ESC on the keypad to exit learn mode. The new remote control should now be paired.

 

Question: How to do a factory reset? 

Answer: Press UNLOCK + 1234 (user code) + ENTER. This places the system into Test Mode. Next, undo the control panel cover fixing screws and open the cover. Remove the DC power jack and then remove and disconnect one of the back-up batteries. Set the jumper link P1 to the ON position and reconnect the power supply jack. The control panel will now reset itself with all factory settings.

'EEPROM RESET’ will be displayed while the factory settings are restored to memory. Once the memory reset has been completed ‘DISARM READY’ will be displayed. Reconnect and replace the back-up battery and then reset jumper link P1 to the OFF position. Close the control panel cover and refit the fixing screws.

Question: How to test a wireless siren?

Answer: Scroll up to "WIRELESS SIREN TEST" and press ENTER. Siren will activate for 5 seconds to show it is working.

 

Question: How to pair a wireless siren?

Answer: Power up the siren and press tamper. Press and hold the learn button for 5 seconds until you hear a single short beep. On the control panel press UNLOCK + 1234 (user code) + ENTER. Scroll to link panel to wirefree siren and press enter. The panel will display "SENDING ID CODES" and you will hear a single short beep and then a single long beep. Scroll through the menu to siren service off and press enter. You will hear a single long beep and two short beeps. Siren is linked and ready to use.

 

Question: How to silence the siren for mounting?

Answer: Scroll to wirefree service on and press ENTER. You will hear two short beeps and one long beep. The siren is now silenced for installation. Once complete scroll to wirefree service off and press enter. You will hear a single long beep and 2 short beeps. Press ESC to return to normal mode.

 

Question: How to pair a remote? 

Answer: Press KEY + 1234 (user code). Scroll down to system setup and press enter. Scroll to "2-1 Remotes" and press enter again. Press 3 for a new remote and within 30 seconds on the new remote press unlock (two beeps) and then part arm to confirm (three beeps). Please give the system a few seconds to save and then press ESC to return to standby.

 

Question: How to pair a sensor to the control panel? 

Answer: Press KEY + 1234 (user code) + ENTER. Scroll to zone setup and press enter. Enter the zone number you wish to configure and press enter. If "Zone Empty" is displayed just press enter. Press 3 to learn the new sensor. Within 30 seconds press tamper on the new sensor twice. You should hear 2 beeps to confirm. Once completed press ESC to return to the main menu.
