Smart Security Systems Not Just For Security

This was a bit baffling to me and my husband at first, but we’re getting used to it, and with the addition of the smart doorbell at the front door that is connected to the overall system, we’ve started to see some benefits that aren’t as much to do with security as we first thought!

The unexpected bonus that we’ve discovered is that with the smart tech in our home alarm system we can sit in the back garden with a glass of wine, with my husband tending the BBQ, and relax whilst waiting for family and friends to arrive (socially distanced of course). The smart security system allows us to see what’s happening at the front door whilst we sit out back.

By looking on my phone or using the chimes we’ve got through the house and the two-way audio and visual systems in place, we can see who’s knocking at the front door without even getting up (lazy I know but we deserve a bit of relaxation after years of work!). This is amazing, and we can tell our friends and family to come around the side gate and come join us. In this time of social distancing and the new rules, this means we can all stay as safe as possible, not have people trekking through our house unnecessarily and it provides extra peace of mind about our safety and home security.
