We’ve recently become parents for the first time, and it is a complete whirlwind, as we were expecting. There are loads of things that you just don’t think about though when it comes to getting your home ready for the arrival of a new baby. One area that we hadn’t really considered was how we should upgrade our home security system.
As with other aspects of our life we wanted to consult specialists in the area, so we got in touch with the team at Response Electronics to help us upgrade our home security well before the baby was born and as we were putting the finishing touches to the nursery. Childproofing is such an important task, and they helped us with some future proofing that we hadn’t thought of – child safety window restrictors.
Now, a child safety window restrictor helps to maintain a good flow of fresh air into a room without the window being wide open. Our baby won’t be in danger any time soon of opening a window and falling out, but it’s best to have these things in place as soon as possible, and it’s great that we can leave the window ajar for some fresh air, without worrying about an intruder being able to get through a fully open window.
They also advised that the window restrictors fit to any window, which was great to hear as we live in an old-fashioned home with large windows. We weren’t sure if they would fit at all.
